FRIDA'S FLOWERS - PRIMAVERA
My inspiration for the original Frida’s Flowers Crochet Along blanket project was Frida Kahlo’s dresses and personal style.
The original blanket features bright floral crochet motifs on a dark background, which evoked the Mexican textiles and
embroideries that I based the project on. Patterns for the CAL are available for free via the Stylecraft web site.
The Frida's Flowers blanket has been incredibly popular since it’s launch as a CAL in spring 2016, so Stylecraft and I have
recently updated the yarn listing for the project to include the new Stylecraft Organic Cotton DK yarn, which I just love.
You can find the yarn listing document here.

A few years ago I asked Lucia Dunn of Lucia's Fig Tree if she was interested in creating a new colour way of the Frida blanket.
As usual she rose to the challenge and created this beautiful version, which she named Primavera. Kits for this blanket
were originally released as a Janie Crow exclusive and the yarn substitution document was not available separately to the
kit, but Lucia has now provided it as a paid for download, which you can find by visiting her web site or her Ravelry page.
To celebrate the re-release of this project it will be featured as Stylecraft's make-along project for February 2022.

You can find yarn packs for this project, (which exclusively include a printed yarn substitution document) by following this link.
