Kits for the brand new Peppercorn version of the Persian Tiles Blanket are now available.
Having recently recreated the original colourway using the wonderful yarns in the West Yorkshire Spinners Colourlab DK range, I decided to look to the Sandalwood version of the project to see if I could come up with a similar blanket using a wider range of beautiful natural yarns.
The Sandalwood version was inspired by a carpet design that I spotted on a trip to Mysore, an Indian city famous for products made for the wonderfully aromatic tree Sandalwood. The adaptation I’ve created using the West Yorkshire Spinners yarns is close to the Sandalwood
colours but with its own unique twist – I hope you will enjoy making Peppercorn, the latest addition to the Persian Tiles family!
In 2017 Persian Tiles was recoloured by crochet designer Lucia Dunn. Lucia's resulting project is called 'Eastern Jewels'
and many stockists, including ourselves, sell yarn packs for the new version that include a colour substitution document.
The Eastern Jewels colour way substitution document is also available separately to yarn packs from Lucia's Fig Tree.
The original Persian Tiles pattern is written for Stylecraft Life DK and Special DK and lists yarn amounts for both
of these in the original colour way. The pattern includes written instructions and charts.
