FIELDS OF GOLD - FIORI BLANKET BY LUCIA DUNN
I am really excited to present to you a brand new version of my Fields of Gold Blanket made by the super talented Lucia Dunn of
Lucia's Fig Tree. This collaborative project has been a total joy to work on especially as Lucia is not only responsible for
creating this beautiful new colour way of my design, but she has also arranged for the yarn used to make it to carry
the Lucia's Fig Tree and Janie Crow branding - which is so exciting!
The inspiration for Lucia's colour palette was a trip to her hometown in the Dolomites, Italy.
'The early summer alpine meadows, the vibrant flower boxes of the village dwellings and the magical mountain light that creates
the most spirited pink, red and blue hues all swayed my colour choices. I have called this colourway Fiori,
which means flowery or having a pattern of flowers in Italian'. - Lucia x
Lucia is an absolute treasure to work with and I am in awe of the way she uses colour - I hope you will love it too!
The Fiori version of my Fields of Gold design is currently only available as a limited edition kit, which contains the original pattern,
the yarn substitution document, a sew in JANIE CROW label and 31 balls of beautiful yarn.
