MAGIC CIRCLES
I love looking at how shapes fit together and had wanted to create a tessellating circle design for some time. Circular motifs can be tricky
to fit together and it is common to find the circular shape becomes slightly distorted when motifs are pieced together, so rather than
create motifs that are square or octagonal, I have designed cross-shaped infill pieces that protect the shape of the large circles.
When making the small infill circles you are asked to make a magic loop to start.
You can find a technique download that explains how to do this by following this link.
Instructions on how to add surface crochet can be found by following this link.
The pattern includes a clear layout plan and a chart is also included for reference when joining the small circles.
This pattern was originally written for a blanket, but when I saw the beautiful range of shades
available in Eden Cottage Milburn DK range I knew I had to make a scarf/wrap version too!
You can purchase the blanket paper brochure pattern or yarn kit here or opt for a download version via Ravelry or Etsy

*Please note that due to changes in the range of shades available via Eden Cottage Yarns the original wrap colourway is no
longer available, however they now have the choice of 2 alternative colourways using either Compost or Black Tulip
in place of the discontinued shade Autumn Fields. Follow this link for more information.
