HOLLICARRS
|
Hollicarrs is a beautiful crochet scarf with a subtle bead pattern that enhances its lovely drape and was originally published in Rachel Atkinson's book 'Daughter of a Shepherd: Volume One'. Although originally written for a DK weight of yarn, the pattern was updated using 4-ply. We used 2 skeins of Fyberspates Vivacious 4-ply (approx 730m/798 yards) but if you plan to use a different yarn, we recommend comparing the yarn meterage and working a tension piece to ensure you have enough.
The project could be worn as a traditional scarf or a smart shawl and I love the way the beads catch the light. The beads are added into the stitch as you crochet using the half treble stitch (US half double). Please visit our YouTube channel for technique videos. |
